On 24th October I went to Deputy Inspector of Schools Tuensang for inquiry (for my sister) about the sixty (60) days Training for teachers which was to begin from 2nd Nov, 2005. I learned that many of the staffs were out of station for official Duty including the DIS. Also the fact is that seven (7) teachers from different schools are attached to DIS office holding all the important files by denying it to actual LDAs and UDAs. Moreover the ‘Accounts training in Kohima’ starting from 27th October was attended by Accountant, UDA (Cashier in-charge) and one teacher (a non-local) attached to DIS office. Therefore, all the concerned should clarify it in the interest of the public the following:
1.The sixty (60) days training for the teachers which was to begin on 2nd of November and expected to end on January while other colleagues enjoy their winter vacation after a year’s hardship (possible extension on humanitarian ground)
2. The seven (7) teachers attached to DIS office should be sent back to their respective posting place after a grand farewell programme otherwise the students community should search for educated unemployed youth and replace the attached teachers if they don’t want teaching as their profession.
3. The” Accounts training” on 27th Oct, in Kohima was attended by one Sahadevan (attached teacher) which is something fishy because a teacher has no right to do so, for he himself is not guaranteed for his stay in DIS office Tuensang. Moreover there are LDA’s and UDA’s to attend the above mentioned training according to their works and promotion systems.
Lastly I request all NGOs and thinkers to exercise their “Right to information” Act.
