Expired goods seized and burned in Chessore town

Chessore, September 8 (MExN): A joint operation by the Chessore Town Public Forum (CTPF) and the Chessore Town Students Union (CTSU) resulted in the seizure and public burning of expired consumer goods from local shops. The “surprise inspection” was carried out under the supervision of DBs and Police Personnel on September 8, stated a DIPR report. 

CTPF President Chuba cautioned the shopkeepers against selling illegal substances and expired products. The public was also urged to remain vigilant when purchasing goods.

The CTPF and CTSU cautioned that anyone selling banned items such as drugs, alcohols and kutkas shall not be spared but will face stern action according to the appropriate sections of law and customary laws.
