Mokokchung, September 9 (MExN): The 62nd Foundation Day cum Awards Presentation of Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung function the College Auditorium on September 8.
The function was attended by head of departments (HODs), college student executives and awardees, parents and non-teaching staff, stated a release from FAC’s Information and Publicity Cell.
Speaking on the occasion, FAC Vice-Principal, R Arenla Aier shared that the college embarked on its journey on September 8, 1959 with a mission “Academia Nulli Secundus (Second to None), it said.
The Vice-Principal also recounted the struggles and effort of the college and its contributions in its mission by providing the principles of education and at the same time serving as a role model for many who are well placed in life in all walks of life, it added.
Dr Adangla, HoD, Sociology and and Convenor Award Committee briefly highlighted the different categories of awards for academic excellence for students scoring the highest CGPA in different subjects.
Students achieving excellence in 2020 and 2021 from various departments were given as certificate and cash incentives during the event while Imlinungla, Assistant Professor, Zoology Department made special prayers for the awardee students and passed out students in general, the release added.
