FAC, CTC sign MoU for inter-library book loan initiative

Mokokchung, March 23 (MExN): A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung and Clark Theological College, Aolijen, Mokokchung on March 23 for an inter-library book loan initiative aimed at facilitating resource sharing between the two institutions.

The agreement was formalised by Dr I Wati Imchen, Principal of Fazl Ali College, and Rev Dr A Temjen Jamir, Principal of Clark Theological College. The signing took place in the presence of Mr Vinod Kumar, Vice-Principal FAC, Bendangsenla, IQAC Coordinator FAC, along with librarians and library committee members from both institutions.

The event was chaired by Mesutoba, Convenor of the Library Committee, FAC. Short speeches were delivered by the two Principals, who emphasised the scope of sharing knowledge and academic resources. Highlights of the facilities were presented by Dr Lendina, Librarian, FAC, and Jason D A, Librarian, CTC.

 

It was acknowledged that the collective strength of the library holdings in both institutions could be strategically leveraged to overcome individual limitations in specialised or interdisciplinary resources.

The mutual partnership is rooted in the shared mission to advance higher education, research, and scholarly collaborations. Officials stated that the MoU reflects the spirit of academic cooperation, intellectual enrichment, and optimal utilisation of library resources for the benefit of faculty, researchers, and students from both institutions.

The proposed framework will enable books and other materials from either institution to be accessed through a structured, secure, and mutually respectful system, fostering an academic environment characterised by openness, resource sharing, and inter-institutional goodwill.
