Mokokchung, November 25 (MExN): A felicitation programme was organised at Fazl Ali College on November 25 to honour the two Meritorious Service Award recipients of the college— Dr Lanurenla, Assistant Professor & Head of the Department of English, and Zuluwati, Peon, Establishment.
According to a press release, the Award was conferred by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland. The two recipients were awarded with citation and a cash award in recognition of their dedicated service and commitment towards the uplift and growth of Higher Education.
On the occasion, the Principal Dr I Wati Imchen lauded the two achievers and encouraged the faculty to work harder and continue to be more sincere in their profession. Head Assistant L Tongzuk Sempo pronounced the invocation followed by short speeches delivered by the recipients and others and the programme ended with a mass prayer, the release stated.
The programme was chaired by Dr Temjennaro, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, and attended by teaching and non-teaching staff.
Meanwhile, the college also observed Constitution Day on November 25 at the College Conference Hall. As directed by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, the teaching faculty and non-teaching staff led by Dr E Benrithung Patton, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science read the Preamble of the Indian Constitution commemorating the Constitution Day which falls on November 26, stated the release which was issued by the FAC Information and Publicity Cell.
