Jorhat, April 23 (MExN): Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, and CKB Commerce College, Jorhat, Assam, formalized an Institutional Partnership Agreement for Academic Cooperation (IPAAC) on 23 April at CKB Commerce College, Jorhat, Assam.
The agreement aligns with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and seeks to enhance quality assurance mechanisms, foster academic linkages, and build institutional capacity through sustained collaboration between the two institutions.
At the formal signing ceremony, the welcome address was delivered by Dr. Breez Mohan Hazarika, Principal of CKB Commerce College, who highlighted the importance of inter-institutional partnerships in enhancing academic excellence and regional cooperation.
Guest of Honour, Dr. I. Wati Imchen, Principal of Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung in his address emphasized the role of such collaborations in fostering innovation, research, and holistic development in higher education institutions. He also highlighted the various MoUs signed by Fazl Ali College with other institutions and noted that Jorhat and Mokokchung have historically shared a cordial relationship, particularly in the field of education.
An overview of the host institution was presented by Dr. Sarat Borah, Vice Principal of CKB Commerce College, while Bendangsenla, Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), FAC introduced Fazl Ali College, highlighting its academic achievements and institutional initiatives.
Dr. Kironmoy Chetia, IQAC Coordinator of CKB Commerce College, elaborated on the objectives of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), outlining the key areas of cooperation and expected outcomes of the partnership.Under the partnership, both colleges have agreed to promote academic exchange and cooperation through joint seminars, workshops, conferences, and symposia. The agreement also emphasizes faculty and student exchange programmes aimed at providing greater exposure and experiential learning opportunities. Additionally, the collaboration will encourage joint research initiatives, publications, and the sharing of best practices in teaching, learning, and institutional governance.
The scope of cooperation spans a wide range of disciplines, including natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary studies. Key focus areas also include facultydevelopment, quality assurance, research and extension activities, community engagement, and the integration of ICT-based learning and digital resource sharing.
The agreement will remain in force for a period of five years, with provisions for renewal based on mutual consent and performance review.
