DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 28 (MExN): State Information Commissioner of Nagaland Rev. Dr. Pongsing Konyak has lauded the effort of outgoing Chief Information Commissioner P. Talitemjen Ao, IAS (Retd) describing him as a “clean officer, man of integrity, honesty and God fearing”. “Being so the entire Naga people have trust and confidence in you. We have seen with our own eyes that you are such a person and what a privilege it is for us to be working with you”, stated a farewell speech from Rev Ponsing.
Recalling that the Commission started out from scratch, Rev Ponsing pointed out that today the office was equipped with all the needed facilities and a strong team of supporting staff for smooth functioning of the Commission. “This is possible because you have been in the state government holding various key positions. Your words have weight upon the officers in the government and you are held in high esteem by policy makers. You have the necessary combination of character and competence essential to lay down the foundation as well as future road maps of the Nagaland Information Commission”, stated Rev Ponsing while paying tribute to P. Talitemjen Ao, a former Chief Secretary.
Stating that everyone had been working very closely like a family under Talitemjen’s “profound leadership for the past five years”, the farewell speech stated that it was “very hard for us to say goodbye to you as you cross over to another chapter of your life leaving us behind”. “We will continue to cherish the memory of our association with you in the years ahead. May God bless your life and your family richly”, stated the farewell.
