Mokokchung, October 17 (DIPR): In commemoration of World Food Day, 2011, a programme was held on October 15 at the Conference Hall, District Agriculture Office, Mokokchung under the theme ‘Food prices – From Crisis to Stability’ organized by the District Agriculture Office, Mokokchung.
While delivering the keynote address, Training Officer, Temsuienla called upon the farmers to focus on maximum production of agriculture product by adopting various means to increase production and by making use of the available resources in our locality. She also urged upon the farmers to devote their time in doing research, reviewing and applying indigenous and organic methods of farming so as to increase production.
Earlier, the program was chaired by Lanunochetla, Subject Matter Specialist (S.M.S) and welcome address was delivered by C. Alemyanger Ao and vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Rongsen, K.V.K Yisenmyong. The programme was attended by farmers from 10 different neighbouring villages of Mokokchung town.
