Medziphema, September 19 (MExN): Two days training on ‘post harvest management and value addition of horticulture crops’ was organized by Central Institute of Horticulture, DAC & FW, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, Medziphema for the women of Medziphema on September 14 and 15.
On day one, Dr. Rokolhuü Keditsu, Asst. Professor, Horticulture Department, NU, SASRD, delivered the training cum demonstration on value addition of flowers and different types of flower arrangement. The second day of the training programme was conducted by Manzar Hossain, Post Harvest Technologist, CIH, Medziphema, whereby, he imparted hands-on training on food processing aspect of horticulture crops, such as preparation of king chilly pickle and pineapple squash.
The training was organized so as to impart technical knowledge on processing and value addition of horticulture crops. Altogether, 122 participants attended the two days training programme.
