Fazl Ali College organised Freshers’ Day for first semester students of BA, BSc and B Com on August 14.
MOKOKCHUNG, AUGUST 14 (MExN): Fazl Ali College on Thursday organised Freshers’ Day for first semester students of BA, BSc and B Com under the theme “Springboard: Towards a New Horizon.”
Welcoming the new batch, Principal Dr I Wati Imchen urged students to embrace challenges, step beyond their comfort zones and make the most of opportunities offered by college life.
On behalf of the freshers, Yimdangjungla Jamir delivered a speech, while Aosashi C Kichu, General Secretary of the Fazl Ali College Students’ Union, offered words of encouragement.
The highlight of the event was the Mr and Miss Fresher 2025 contest featuring 20 contestants. Walunir K Tsudir, B.Sc (Chemistry) and Likhum Sangtam, BA (Sociology) won the titles, with sub-titles awarded for Mr & Miss Congeniality, Mr & Miss Talented, Mr & Miss Runway and Best Ethnic Wear.
The programme featured performances by teachers and students, and was graced by Rev Lima Lemdur, Pastor of Union Church FAC, who offered a special prayer for the freshers.
