Mokokchung, November 11 (DIPR): Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung, one of the premier colleges and first college to be established in Nagaland state in 1959 has reached another milestone in its pursuit of knowledge and promoting higher learning and holistic development with the launching of computerization of its library on November 9. It may be mentioned that FAC is the first government college in the state to obtained accreditation from National Assessment and Accreditation Council in 2009.
Automation project of the Library was inaugurated by Chubainla, Director, Higher Education, Nagaland government. According to Lendina, FAC Librarian, the entire automation exercise will be completed by April 2012 and Bar-coded Library Cards will be issued to students and college faculty by July 2012. She said Electronic cataloguing and Bar-coding of library books would be completed by April.
Inaugurating the automation project, Chubainla termed FAC College as one of the premier colleges in Nagaland and expressed hope that students and college faculty would be immensely benefitted with the launch of computerization of its library. She also thanked Principal, Kuholi Chishi and her team for tirelessly working to improve the college. Chubainla, a former FAC Principal later inaugurated the college Conference hall.
