It is a sad thing that the Chief Minister and the President of the Ruling Party have been thunderously opposed by the general public and they are pressed to resign. As I pondered over it, my personal thought is that this is God’s doing. When a crisis cropped up in NPF’s Party branding Dr. Shürhozelie’s Group and Neiphiu’s Group. When the verdict of the Legislators was tried across the floor of the Assembly, beyond the expectation of the public, the C.M got total votes. Is it not miracle? Is it not God’s doing? It was a unique history in the annals of the Nagaland State Assembly. It was not only important in Nagaland but it was known to the world. So the C.M was awarded with a global Award in foreign country.
If our leaders are conscious of God’s grace, praises and glory will be given to God for what a great thing He had done. If the winning Group of NPF realized God’s grace, they will say,” God has been merciful to us, we have to forgive and forget the past things and get reconciled.” If they did it how beautiful and magnanimous before the people as well it will be! And it will open the gate wider. But instead they felt arrogant and called N. Rio and others for explanation. On seeing it, I expressed,” The winning NPF Party and the current Government have forfeited God’s grace showered on them. They are gone. They can no more rise up” How and when I do not know.
When unknowingly this crisis came up in the pretext of Urban election, every day the shimmering of the wrath of the public is seen against the C.M. For me I cannot say “ resign or not resign” but my plead is,” Know God, Believe in Him, Fear Him and Obey Him” which is the only way of overcoming all evils and promoting goodness.
