The Social Awards 2018 presented by Find Studioz on the evening of 4th December 2018 at IMC hall is a noble venture organised for the first time in Nagaland. My heart is fully loaded with deep appreciation and I hear my own heartbeat of excitement as I start writing this few lines to express gratitude to the organisers.
Bollywood film producer, the pride of North East, the brainchild behind first Nagaland Red Carpet Social Awards Rebecca Changkija Sema and her co -founders T. Amenla Jamir and Shiraz Henry have done commendable job for the state youth population. Organizing and managing such an event requires a lot of time, patience, dedication, hard work and financial implications. I personally appreciate your passion of taking young talents on board by creating a platform to encourage them for who they are.
A day has come where we have to be honest with ourselves. Neither our talents nor our skill would come in search of us but we got to find out what are we good at. All of us have inborn skill but our potential is discovered the moment we put ourselves in right place. A blind yet ambitious girl Vikili Sumi is always an inspiration to many. She is presently in teaching profession after completing her education from blind school. She said she makes baskets for sale after school hours. Her vision impairment never hold her back that she is physically disabled. Truly appreciate this event that recognized the heroine in her so also the organizers giving due importance to special children (Differently-abled children category) to perform in the function.
The organisers of Nagaland Red Carpet Social Awards 2018 deserves huge round of applause from across the state for identifying the unidentified heroes and heroines and honouring their potentials. This is a great move and I believe it has made a huge impact on the life of recipients as well as upcoming artistes, entrepreneurs, social workers etc... Potential of a person is sometimes raised further when we encourage people with same passion.
The Never Before Opportunity brought to Nagas is a wonderful effort of its founder and her team of co-founders. To me, I personally consider as the best New Year gift to Nagaland. We still have a good news that this program would continue. Rebecca Changkija Sema is a beautiful daughter of Nagaland. I'm sorry to be giving a comparative statement here but some of our fellow Nagas would change everything the moment they get certain recognition or when they're able take life to next level. We would start acting who we are not and that's how we fail to be naturally ourselves. I found madam Changkija awesomely natural, polite, humble and a good human being. When asked if she plans to continue this program, she responded "yeah, it's just a beginning" Let's realize there's life beyond Government job. You can be professional if you empower yourselves. Talents go waste when we bury them. It's time for reality bite and a time to resurrect ourselves if we look forward for living a dignified life.
