Dimapur, July 23 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), “on the running crisis of Zeliangrong Region,” during a meeting held on July 19 has decided to direct all concerned authorities of the Zeliangrong Region, FGN to “strictly follow the official notice/directive issued by the Kedahge on August 22, 2020.”
The FGN in a press release stated that according to the notice, ‘in view of the prevailing abnormal situation whereby official meetings and even personal movement being are hindered; as such even though the official (especially) Midan Peyus, whose terms are nearing completion or being completed, should carry on their respective duties and responsibilities as usual till further notice.’
Further, it declared that the press statement issued in the name of Rongbi on July 11 in a newspaper was “illegal and is null and void” and also directed all the national workers of Zeliangrong Region, NNC/FGN to extend full co-operation with Gaidimchungpou, Midan Peyu of Zeliangrong Region, FGN.
