Fight Call to stop enemy’s applaud

Off late the NSCN (K) has been dominating the news headlines for its stand against Southern Naga students writing HSLC examination in Nagaland, and also for its Quit Notice served against the Tangkhul community. To this development, we the general public have been watching and pondering silently if the NSCN’s diktats are really reasonably and applicable. Our conclusion is that the NSCN Khaplang is making a big mistake by alienating some tribes when the very ideology of our brotherhood and oneness is often reminded to us by the national workers themselves.

We feel that justice has not been done to some of our brothers. “Is not the incorrigible rivalry between the factions enough that the NSCN Khaplang is trying to create a division among the Naga civilian families?” While all Nagas tirelessly voice for the unification of Naga nationalists, the NSCN (K) seems to show extreme disregard for the general voice. It is really sad and frustrating to watch all these developments of abhorrence and antagonism. We know we are locked in a war game in our own family while totally forgetting our real enemies and yet we just do not know to find a compromise or even take time to rethink! How happy must our enemies be, watching ourselves fight to death like real heroes! Their palms must have swollen clapping at the factional sports that never give a day’s respite.

All the national workers, be it Khaplang or Isak-Muivah factions work for the Naga people. We are immensely indebted to you for the supreme sacrifices you have made and are making for the people; we acknowledge sincerely, the hardship you bear for us all. We pray for you each day that one day, you’d bring home the trophy; we have been talking about so much and for so long now.

You have to respect the mandate of the people because you are working for the people! If you try to divide the people or alienate or chase the very people you are working for, everything would be seen as a child’s play. You cannot go against the people, you cannot hate your people, nor can you go to war without the people’s blessing. Your vision would become void without our support. That would be a wrong establishment, exactly like a hound of masters without students. Let us not divert our sovereign claims to factional battles. Naga brothers cannot live divided under the same roof.  Nagas are always Nagas, whether you prefer your younger brother to your elder brother. Let us fight for the Naga family as a whole. Let the enemy no more hiss in ecstatic laughter watching us fight to death among ourselves. Let them start to buy handkerchief now!
