Finance Ministry official inspects SASCI projects in Nagaland

Dimapur, April 27 (MExN): Dr Sajjan Singh Yadav, IAS, Special Secretary in the Department of Expenditure under the Ministry of Finance, arrived in Nagaland on Monday on a two-day visit to review projects implemented under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme.

He was received at Dimapur airport by Additional Secretary, Finance and IDAN, Vineet Kumar, IAS, along with other officials.

Yadav proceeded to Chumoukedima district, where he inspected projects at the Police Complex, including the Officers’ Mess and a football stadium constructed under various phases of the SASCI scheme.

He also visited the Unity Mall project and inspected the Chumoukedima Police Station, where barracks and Type-III quarters built under SASCI 2023–24 were reviewed.

During the visit, Yadav was accompanied by Finance Commissioner and Commissioner and Secretary to the Chief Minister, Nagaland, Kesonyu Yhome, IAS, along with other senior officials.

He interacted with officials at the project sites and reviewed the progress of ongoing works.

The visit aims to assess the implementation of projects and review the utilisation of funds under centrally supported schemes in the state, officials said.
