Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) will be hosting the first ever Mega Job Expo on January 30 and 31 at Fazl Ali College Mokokchung. The Chairman of the Mega Job Expo Planning Committee, Thsuvisie Phoji, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung in a press conference called at the DC’s Conference room on Thursday informed that the job expo has been organised with a vision to bridge the gap between employment opportunities and those seeking for employment.
The job expo will be held on the theme “Connecting Careers” where job vacancies and trainings will be provided by corporations, companies, NGOs and governmental agencies from across the state and the country including an international partnership with Japan. The chairman also informed that the organising bodies will act as the facilitating platform to connect both parties and will provide all the infrastructural support required by the recruiters where apre-screening of all the applicants will be done.
“This job expo will not be confined to the citizens of Mokokchung alone. Any Naga, irrespective of any district, aspiring for a befitting job can register for the Expo,” he added.
Er Imlisunep, Secretary, Planning Committee also stated that the Job expo will be focused on three components: Aspiring entrepreneurs, job seekers and any youth wanting to exhibit their talents and gifts. Besides recruitments, there will be stalls and exhibitions where local entrepreneurs and start-ups will be given opportunities to exhibit one's creativity and harness their potential.
The planning committee of the Mega Job Expo is chaired by DC Mokokchung as the Chairman and Er T Imlisunep as the General secretary.
