KOHIMA, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): The first Lhisemia Kharu (ancestral gate) will be inaugurated on December 10 at Merübotsa, New Secretariat Area, Kohima at 11:00 am. The event is being organised by the Lhisemia Council, Kohima Village.
As per the order of the programme, Neingusalie Khruomo will the Master of Ceremony. Helevio Solo, Chairman, Kohima Village Council will the special guest while Khriehu Liezietsu, MLA, 10th Northern Angami 1 A/C will be the guest of honour on the occasion.
Invocation will be pronounced by Rev Keviyiekielie Linyü, Pastor, Ebenezer Baptist Church while Dierhevituo Yhome will sound the traditional horn.
The special guest will ceremonially inaugurate the Kharu while the guest of honour will unfurl the flag. Lhisemia Council Chairman Ayie Yhome will convey greetings on the occasion while Neibolhoulie Yhome, Convenor of the Lhisemia Kharu Committee will share a message on behalf of the committee. Member of the Kharu Committee, Vilalhou Nuodi will highlight the history of Lhisemia Kharu.
Other highlights include special song by Menguseü Suokhrie, speeches by special guest and guest of honour, folk song by Kiyaheü Tseikha and friends. Lhisemia Council General Secretary, Mengukhrietuo Marcus Dvüvichü will pronounce the vote of thanks. Kikruneinuo Liezietsu will be the recorder of the event.
The event will culminate with a grand feast. Meanwhile, the organisers have informed that Billy Graham Road will be closed to vehicular traffic during the entire duration of the programme.
