Tuensang, December 10 (MExN): Fish Seed Production Unit (FSPU) was inaugurated by SDO (Civil) Tuensang, Pakon Phom at Thimlak of L. Khel, Tuensang Village on December 10 in the presence of District Fishery Officer (DFO) Tuensang, Rongsenkumzuk and L. Khel Tuensang Village Council Members.
Speaking on the occasion SDO (C) congratulated the DFO and his team for successfully completing the project and emphasised on more fish seeds production in order to fulfill the requirements of fish seed for its farmers within the District. Encouraging the concerned government departments, he urged them to continue their endeavour in serving the common people and to replicate similar projects in other areas within the district.
While explaining about the project DFO, Rongsenkumzuk said that the department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources constructed Fish Seed Production Unit known as Chinese Eco-hatchery under the funding of Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) at Thimlak Government Fish Farm at Tuensang Village under Tuensang District. He also said that the FSPU was the need of the hour in the district and this is the first fish Seed hatchery in Tuensang district. He was also shared his happiness to the Director for selecting Tuensang District for the seed project and also thanked the Village Council Members led by its Chairman L. Khel for their support and cooperation in completing the project.
Village Council Chairman, B.Takum also spoke on the occasion thanking the department for their contribution and developing the Thimlak Fish Farm for the district.
