Follow-up appeal to district sanitation department

I regret to inform you that even after making an appeal in the month of February no action has been taken regarding the sanitation problem in Dimapur. It is the duty of the government to establish proper drainage systems, but it is the responsibility of the sanitation department to maintain these systems within the district. The poor drainage conditions in Dimapur district persists and this matter has been left unattended till today, due to which the general public suffer from unhygienic environmental conditions.

The main problem concerning the labor for sanitation is that, individuals within the government use the given labor for personal work and this leaves the drainage systems in the district neglected. I should mention again that it is only due to the contributions of the concerned colony residents that we have been able to manage the drainage system so far but with the limited resources that we have it is not possible to keep all sections of the district check. It should be the departments in concern who supervise the sanitary status of the drainage systems instead of the public. The public taking part in the maintenance of the drainage systems renders the sanitary labor redundant and it should be a priority for the departments in concern to ensure the proper management of labor regarding district and state sanitation, as well as the State and National Highway labor to ensure that proper labor is distributed towards efficient drainage management. These measures concerning the proper use of labor from the departments in concern are necessary for public sanitation in the district and the state as a whole.

For a second time, I would like to draw the attention of the government's concerned departments towards the negligence of the drainage systems within the jurisdiction of Dimapur district.
