Who bothers about Jotsoma Bypass/British Victory Road? It's being another mysterious year 2019 that almost end with untold hardship for the commuter of dimapur and Kohima due to massive landslide at old KMC dumping place Jotsoma. The same event happened last year too and it's like recapping the event every year. Well this Jotsoma bypass seems to be the lifeline specially during monsoon season for the people of kohima but no one care about maintenance . The govt seems to have completely forgot the road, moreover the people of Jotsoma never protest against the authority for unmotorable road condition which become more like a river then a road. Well in the mid of August 2019 the Dept of PWD white wash the pot holes but due to incessant rain that this could not last for even two weeks. This unimaginable road has cause to loss of two lives, many injured and many vehicle broke down in the mid of their destination and many passenger got stunted spending the night while some might missed the next bond voyage train or flight. Whatever the event be it we have a philanthropist none other than Rokosielie Nakhro whose love for the people of Jotsoma filled the pot holes every year with sand gravel on his own expense. The authority should noted this optional lifeline and take necessary action else in the years to come the event may be worse. lastly if this year Hornbill Festival off road Championship is to be held the organiser may choose Jotsoma Bypass.
