Former Nagaland Upa Lokayukta, Mayang Lima was critically injured in a road mishap in Assam on October 2. At the time of the mishap, Lima was proceeding towards Dimapur from Tuli, Mokokchung, with three others, including the driver.
According to reliable sources, the crash occurred around 1:00 am in Golaghat. One of the co-passengers, a woman succumbed on the spot, while the third passenger, her husband, survived. The driver survived with a broken leg, and was admitted to the CIHSR. Lima was said to have sustained injuries on the head and chest, and admitted in the ICU at a hospital in nearby Jorhat. His condition was said to be critical.
The cause of the accident could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
