Tuensang, August 17 (DIPR): Minister for Soil & Water Conservation and Land Resources, P. Longon laid the foundation stone of Government Polytechnic Sedem Tuensang in the presence of Advisor DBs, GBs and VGs Nagaland, Kejong Chang, Parliamentary Secretary for IPR, Economic and Statistics, R. Tohanba, MLA H. Chuba Chang, Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, T. Mhabemo Yanthan and host of departmental officials and public of Tuensang.
Speaking at the function, the chief guest appealed to the people to extend their full co-operation and support to the Administration of Tuensang, department concern and any agencies involved in the project for the successful completion of the Institution and hope that the institution will be a discipline one and a source for imparting update technical education for the people of Tuensang in particular and for the Nagas in general. He also thanked the landowners for making availability of land for the project.
A brief report on the project (GPS) about its aim and objectives and position of present scenario was given by department representative, OSD Higher Technical Education, Along. He also said that the department is and will try its best to complete the programme in scheduled time. Short speeches were also delivered by Parliamentary Secretary IPR, Economics & Statistic R. Tohanba; MLA Kejong Chang; MLA H. Chuba Chang; President CCSU. The programme was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, T. Mhabemo Yanthan who in his introductory assured the gathering to extend full support and cooperation from the District Administration. The welcome address was given by M. Chomgma VCC B/Khel Tuensang Village. Vote of thanks was delivered by vice president A. Chingmak and God’s blessing was invoked by Rev. T. Mongba Pastor, TVBC and benediction by Sangkum Hd. GB C/Khel Tuensang village.
