Mokokchung, October 16 (MExN): A four-day handloom exhibition was inaugurated by Narola Alemba Jamir, General Manager (Admin) of the Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd (NHHDC Ltd) on October 16.

The exhibition, organised the NHHDC Ltd, under the sponsorship of the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, New Delhi, is being held at the Town Hall, Mokokchung and will conclude on October 19.

The exhibition features 60 artisans and weavers from Assam and various districts of Nagaland, showcasing an extensive range of handloom, khadi, and handicraft products.

In a press release Project Manager, NHHDC Ltd said that the primary objective of the Exhibition is to develop and promote sustainable marketing channels in both the domestic and export markets, while establishing a holistic and integrated linkage between the two.

The event also aims to create viable marketing opportunities for artisans and weavers, thereby enhancing their economic empowerment and supporting the continued growth of the handloom and handicraft sectors.
