Sovima, May 8 (MExN): The Sovima Sports Club (SSC), in collaboration with the Dimapur Sporting Club (Soccer School Academy), will celebrate the Asia Football Confederation (AFC) Grassroot Day by organising a 3-day free football coaching camp.
The camp will cater to age categories ranging from 6 to 16 years and will be held at Futsal Centre Sovima, Regional Centre for Sporting Excellence (RCSE), Chümoukedima from May 11-13.
The coaching camp aims to promote football while targeting youngsters to hone their skills and talents, informed a press release from the organisers.
Additionally, it is meant to serve as a high-level capacity-building camp and generate awareness about the positive aspects of sports and physical health among youngsters.
It also aims to provide a potential platform for budding talents, creating avenues for them to pursue their dreams and reach the same level as others.
According to the organisers, the 3-day free trial coaching camp will be followed by registration for interested applicants, commencing from May 13 onwards. Interested applicants are instructed to submit 2 passport-sized photographs along with a photocopy of their birth certificate for registration.
