Free medical camp held on International Widows' Day

Dimapur, June 23 (MExN): Marking International Widows' Day, Pro Rural, in collaboration with Circle of Hope and with support from the Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Duncan Bosti, organised a free multi-specialty medical camp at Signal Angami Village, Dimapur, on June 23.

The camp aimed to promote health awareness and provide accessible healthcare services to widows and other community members. A total of 61 patients availed services during the camp, informed a press release received here.

General health check-ups, dental consultations, eye screening, vital signs assessment, random blood sugar (RBS) testing, laboratory investigations and free medicines were offered during the camp. 

Altogether, 25 laboratory investigations, including blood tests and RBS screening, were conducted, the release said. 

The organisers expressed gratitude to the medical team from UPHC Duncan Bosti, volunteers and members of Circle of Hope for their support in making the programme a success.

The initiative reflected the collective commitment of Pro Rural, Circle of Hope and UPHC Duncan Bosti towards improving community health and addressing the healthcare needs of widows and other vulnerable sections of society, the release stated.
