Free oral screening held in Tabitha Enabling Academy

Free oral screening was held in Tabitha Enabling Academy, Kohima on March 11.

Kohima, March 12 (MExN): The Dental Department of Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima (NHAK) under the aegis of National Oral Health Programme observed the World Oral Health Week 2025 at Tabitha Enabling Academy, Kohima on March 11.

The medical team conducted free oral screening with the aim to reached out to the differently abled children and educate them on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and prevention of oral diseases, a press release received here stated. 

The team led by District Oral Health Officer (NOHP), Dr I Simon Sumi, who also shared the importance of good oral health and also demonstrated on proper brushing techniques to the students as well the teachers. 

This was followed by free oral screening consisting of Dental Specialist, Dr Neingutuonuo Angami, Dr Neiphrezo Soriinuo, Dr Noyinbeni, Dr Mhonsenli, Phychologist Pelebeinuo Khezhie, Social Worker Achi Walling and Medical attendant Vilakhonuo. 

Total of 35 students and 18 teachers participated in the programme. Free oral hygiene kits consisting of toothpaste and toothbrush were distributed.
