50 artisans of Artistic Tribal Shawl Craft under NWVTI Handloom & Handicraft Producer Company received free tool kits on September 18.
Kohima, September 19 (MExN): Free tool kits were distributed to 50 artisans of Artistic Tribal Shawl Craft under NWVTI Handloom & Handicraft Producer Company on September 18 at Kohima.
Sponsored by the DC (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, the tools were distributed in the presence of T Rollee Vareishim, Senior Assistant Director (H), HSC-Kohima.
He exhorted the artisans to work hard and produce quality products which can be exportable to every part of the country as well as outside the country. He also appealed to the artisans to avail various schemes under the DC (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles Government of India.
Temjenlemla Jamir, Director of NWVTI Producer company thanked the O/o the DC(Handicraft) for providing opportunities for the artisans under various schemes and also stated that they have a vision to take the Artistic Tribal Shawl Craft of Nagaland globally.
