Graduating students present a special song during the 2nd Graduating Ceremony of Faith Theological College, Dimapur on Wednesday, April 20.
DIMAPUR, MARCH 20 (MExN): Faith Theological College (FTC), Dimapur conducted its 2nd Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, April 20. Hosted at the Town Hall, the ceremony was graced by K. Hocto Kinimi, Conservator of Forests, Southern Territorial Circle, Nagaland as the chief guest while the Rev. Dr. VK Nuh, general secretary of the Council of Naga Baptist Churches was the guest of honour. Altogether, twenty four students were conferred degrees in M.Div, B.Th and M.Th courses.
Addressing the gathering Kinimi held that FTC may be a new college yet it has its foundation firmly rooted in faith. The college was established in 2003 by the Rev. Dr. S. Gangte who is also the principal. The word of today is plagued by problems of all kinds, inspite of the fact that God created humans to be the masters of the universe, he averred. “Unfortunately the masters are bad… most of the problems we see are humanly created.”
In this aspect he said: “When we fail to do the responsibility assigned to us by God, we’ll land in a situation without any clear cut future”. To the graduating students he emphasized on having strong faith which will strengthen and ultimately guide them while instilling an ardent desire to serve the Lord. “Unless you have strong faith, you’ll not be able to please God,” he asserted thus. Serving the Lord God is the best profession; he held adding that it is a path devoid of ills affecting other spheres of the society.
