Dimapur, January 25 (MExN): Dimapur and Zunheboto today won their respective matches in the ongoing 2nd Late G Rio Memorial U-19 (Boys) Inter-District Cricket Tournament.
However, the proceedings of the day were interrupted by inclement weather leading to reduction of the matches from 20 overs from 50.
In the first match, Dimapur defeated Kohima by 63 runs. Opting to bat after winning the toss, Dimapur scored 125 runs losing 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Sujal led the scoreboard with 49 runs while Mughavi Sumi scored 26 runs.
In reply, Kohima boys were bundled out for 62 runs in 17.4 overs, with Kelhousilie Zaputou reaching a double digit score of 19 runs.
In the second match, Zunheboto had a good start as they bowled out Kiphire for 66 runs in 17.3 over after opting to field.
Zunheboto reached the target comfortably in just 11 overs losing only 3 wickets, to win the match by 7 wickets.
