KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 12 (MExN): The Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) will organise the G. Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy (12th Kohima Open Tournament for men and women) from November 17 to 20 at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground).
Zhaleo Rio, MLA and Advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Government of Nagaland, will grace the inaugural function as the special guest on November 17 at 12 noon, a press release stated.
The men’s champion will receive a cash prize of Rs 1.50 lakh, while the runner-up will get Rs 80,000. The semi-finalists will be awarded Rs 25,000 each. In the women’s category, the champion will be awarded Rs 80,000, the runner-up Rs 50,000, and the semi-finalists Rs 15,000 each.
Individual prizes of Rs 5,000 each will also be given for the best spiker and best setter in both the men’s and women’s categories.
