Kohima, September 29 (MExN): The Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) will be organizing G. Rio Memorial Volleyball trophy (13th Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament for Men & Women) from October 29 to 31 at Khuochizeie (Kohima Local Ground).
The total cash prize of Rs 4, 60,000 has been set for the tournament.
The champion in Men’s category will receive Rs 1.50 lakh while runner- up will get Rs 80,000. The losing semi finalist will be awarded with Rs. 25,000 each.
The champion in Women’s category will get Rs. 80,000 while runner- up will receive Rs 50,000. Losing semi finalists will fetch Rs. 15,000 each.
There will also be individual prize for best spike and best setter at Rs 5000 each for both men and women category.
Registration fee for Men’s category has been fixed at Rs 5000 and Rs 3000 for women’s category.

The tournament is restricted exclusively to local teams from Nagaland, to facilitate player selection for the upcoming inter-district volleyball tournament.
KDVA informed that the local teams from Nagaland may recruit or engage players from outside Nagaland. However, a maximum of two players from outside Nagaland shall be permitted to play during a match.
