Gastronomy tourism in Nagaland

Nagaland has a lot to offer when it comes to showcasing ethnic Naga dishes, local brews to fill the palate of tourist.

This was stated in the Annual Administrative Report 2025-26 of Nagaland’s Tourism department, Government of Nagaland.

Along with authentic, traditional and innovative experiences, Gastronomy Tourism may also involve other related activities such as visiting the local producers, participating in food festivals and attending cooking classes, the report stated.

The Report stated that Gastronomy tourism forms an integral part of local life and is forged by the history, culture, economy and society of a territory.

“This bears the natural potential to enrich the visitor experience, establishing a direct connection to the region, its people, culture and heritage,” the report stated.
