Wokha, December 9 (MExN): The Government Higher Secondary School, Wokha organised its 3rd annual award ceremony with EAC, Wokha Rosy Sangtam as the special guest on December 9.
The following teachers, staff, and students were given the annual award 2022: Best Teacher of the Year- B John Kikon (PGT) and Abemo Ezung (GT), Regular Teacher of the year- Imodangba (PGT) and Subeno (GT), Class Teacher of the Year- Khonzani Tsanglao (PGT) and Yiben (GT), Employee of the year- Chumchamo Ovung (LDA), Grade IV Employee of the Year- Chipow Murry, Best Student of the Year-Manisha Kumari (Class 10) and Lochumbeni T Ngullie (Class 12), School Captain-Lirhonthung Ngullie, V/Captain- Eshonbeni M Kikon, Jonathan Lotha, Erenbemo Ezung, Senchumbeni Ezung, and Fuchamo S Humtsoe.
The EAC in her address congratulated GHSS Wokha, Sr Principal, Y Vungthungo for initiating such an event for the teachers, staff, and students, a DIPR report stated. “Such kind of activities will surely encourage the teachers to render their services effectively as well as motivate the students to pursue their academic careers with excellence and promote their co-curricular activities as well,” she stated.
Reminding the teachers that their service is to mould and teach the students who are the future of tomorrow, she encouraged them to continue giving their service with renewed dedication and sincerity. To the students, she said to achieve their dreams and turn them into reality, the students need to be sincere, dedicated, and hard-working.
Sr Principal, GHSS Wokha, Y Vungthungo said it was time to acknowledge the teachers, staff, and students who have made outstanding contributions in their chosen field of activity and enhanced the image of the school. He mentioned that this annual award ceremony started in the year 2018 under his initiation to provide a holistic approach towards the development of the school.
