Dimapur, September 25 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students Union Kohima College held its first ‘Freshers Meet’ and general session today at the DUDA guest house. Wennyei Konyak, NCS, SDO Civil (Sadar) graced the occasion as the chief guest while Throngso Yimchunger, speaker, Eastern Naga Students Federation was the guest of honor.
While speaking to the students, the chief guest stated that goal setting is a very powerful process and it is used by many top achievers in many fields. Also speaking about the theme of the Union, ‘Students- An agent of Change’, the chief guest said that setting goals brings long term vision and helps motivate people. Stressing on the need for ‘sharp-clear defined goals’ in order to achieve big, he said, “you are an agent of change because you are the future and the leaders of the next era”.
The programme was chaired by Kheming Shiu while invocation was said by Pastor, Sangtam Baptist Church. Earlier the keynote address was given by President, ENSU, KCK, welcome song was presented by BA II students. Short speeches were given by the Guest of Honor and President, ENSUK. Mariam and Athriba were declared as Mr. & Miss Fresher.
