Dimapur, March 14 (MExN): Lieutenant General, Abhijit S Pendharkar, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 3 Corps, flagged in the National Integration Tour organised by Assam Rifles formation under Spear Corps for 17 boys and 11 girls from Manipur.
A DIPR report stated that the flag in ceremony at Rangapahar Military Station, Nagaland on March 13, provided an opportunity for the students to interact with the GOC, who provided valuable insights into leadership, discipline and the crucial role of the youth in nation building and integration.
During their return journey, the team made a brief halt at Kohima, where they explored the region’s historical and cultural heritage.
The Lieutenant General, Abhijit S Pendharkar, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Spear Corps appreciated the initiative and encouraged the participants to contribute to nation-building.
The team is scheduled to return to Tengnoupal between March 15 and 16, marking the completion of this transformative experience.
