GOI Vigilance team inspects Phek region

Kohima, December 2 (MExN): The Government of India, Ministry of Rural development, Vigilance and Monitoring Committee members for Nagaland state comprising Medokul Sophie Ex-MLA, S. Richard Humtsoe and T. Hayithung Bill Lotha inspected various ongoing project sites in Phek on November 21 and 22 last.
At the joint meeting with Departments and Members, DC Phek Mikha Lomi expressed great satisfaction in embarking on such inspection as it can be an eye opener and bring peoples grievances to the forefront.
The team was accompanied by line Department heads and officers like District Project Officer N. Kihie; PWD (R&B) EE Er. Yevikhe, SDO Netsongi; PHE E. Er. Kitoshe; Social Welfare DWO T. Sangtam; CDPO Venedulie Vero; Rural Development Project Officer Azenuo, BDO’s Kuhuluyi Vadeo, Chuba jointly visited various programmes implemented by Ministry.
The members inspected in land resources-banana plantation, water harvesting units, entry point activity under DPO N. Kihie. Under PWD(R&B) EE Er. Yevikhe members inspected- Ketsapo-Metsals road, 20 km costing 1 crore ninety three lakhs. The members inspected under PHE EE Er. Kithoshe water treatment Plant at Chizami. The members on the social welfare schemes under T. Sangtam, District Welfare Officer visited Losami, Phek village, Ketsapo and found out the beneficiaries were getting their dues. Under Rural Development the members inspected drainages, footpaths, Agri Link accompanied by BDO Kuhuluyi Vadeo to various villages.
