Kohima, December 4 (MExN): Governor of Nagaland, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio and Advisor for Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guard & Civil Defence Relief & Rehabilitation S Kiusumew have extended greetings to Home Guards, Civil Defence and State Disaster Response Force personnel on the occasion of their Raising Day observed across the country on December 6.
Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla conveyed “warmest felicitations and good wishes to all the personnel of the Home Guards, Civil Defense & State Disaster Response Force Organization.” He stated, “I deeply honour the unwavering commitment and selfless dedication that define their service. Over the years, you have consistently proven your mettle, whether by responding swiftly to natural calamities, participating in vital search and rescue operations or educating our communities on disaster preparedness.” He expressed confidence that the organization “will continue to keep up the spirit and always stay alert and attend to the call of duty whenever required.” He also extended his “best wishes to the Nagaland Home Guards, Civil Defense & State Disaster Response Forces in their future endeavours.”
Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio extended his “heartfelt greetings to all the members of the Department of Home Guard, Civil Defence and State Disaster Response Force, Nagaland on the auspicious Raising Day on the 6th December, 2025 along with the rest of the country.” He said “the day stands as a tribute to the commitment, discipline and unwavering dedication in safeguarding our communities during hostilities, disasters, and local emergencies.” He added, “Time and again, you have upheld the highest tradition of voluntary service and also have demonstrated resilience, professionalism and a deep sense of responsibility that inspires confidence and admiration among our citizens.” The Chief Minister also congratulated officials and staff of the department “for carrying out their duties with steadfast commitment and for their sacrifices they continued to make.” “I am confident that you will continue to exemplify the noble values with the same zeal and integrity in the service of the people,” he stated.
Advisor S Kiusumew extended his best wishes on the “auspicious Rising Day of Home Guards and Civil Defence on 6th December 2025.” He stated, “I take this privilege to salute the bravery, selflessness and resilience of our Home Guards, Civil Defence and SDRF Personnel.
