Kohima | September 15 : Parliamentary secretary for rural development S. Pangnyuh Phom said the state government is going to open more RD blocks in the state, in which 27 proposals have been received from different areas of the state.
Replying this to MLA H. Chuba on the floor of the House today, the parliamentary secretary said that the proposals are to be examined by the Standing State Level Committee. Minister for roads & bridges G. Kaito Aye said the fund for Dimapur- Niuland road black topping work has been done under Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR).
In written reply to MLA SI Jamir, the minister said that work order amount stands at Rs. 2883.41 lakhs and further furnished the true copy of work order on the floor of the House. The minister said that an amount of Rs. 2277.90 lakhs paid to the contractor. Minister for forest M.C. Konyak while replying to MLA Lanpha Konyak said the construction of DFO office at Mon Town is almost completed. Further, the minister said the building is likely to be inaugurated shortly.
152 GPS under DEO Tuensang
Minister for School Education & SCERT Nyeiwang Konyak said that there are a total number of 152 Government primary school and 29 middle schools under DEO Tuensang district. The minister also furnished the names of the government middle schools and government primary schools, adding that the Deputy Inspector of Schools Tuensang, Shamator and Noklak initiates in distribution of mid-day meals to the village education board. Konyak replied this to an unstarred question raised by MLA H.Chuba Chang on the floor of the house today during the 10th session of the 11th Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
3590 Adhoc teachers under regularization process
Responding to an unstarred question raised by MLA T. Sentichuba on the total number of adhoc teachers appointed during 2003 to July 2011, minister for School Education & SCERT Nyeiwang Konyak said that 3590 Adhoc teachers were appointed against the existing available vacancy subject to regularization through the written and oral test during 2003-04 to July 2011. On being asked about the total number of teachers appointed on adhoc basic without any clear vacancy during the said period, the minister said “Does not arise.” The minister also gave positive response on the question put forth on whether there is any Government Policy to appoint Primary Teacher within their Linguistic area and to be posted.
Community Health Centre
Responding to an unstarred question of MLA H. Chuba Chang on the total number of Community Health centre (CHC) in the state, minister Health & Family Welfare Kuzholuzo Neinu replied that there are 21 community health Centres, 3 Community Health Centre (CHC) under Kohima district, 3 CHC in Mokokchung, Tuensang 2, Mon 2, Zunheboto 2, 2 in Wokha, 3 in Phek, 2 in Dimapur, one in Kiphire, 1 in Peren and Longleng stands nil. The minister said there are 125 Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Nagaland.
Pfutsero local play ground construction
Parliamentary secretary youth resource & sports Naiba Konyak responded to unstarred questions raised by MLA Tokheho on the project report of Pfutsero Local Play ground construction that the local ground is sanctioned at an amount of Rs. 2.00 crore where Contractor M/s Khalos Enterprises are entrusted with the work order copy adding that 75% of the work is completed and a total amount of Rs. 1.50 crore is been paid and Rs. 0.50 crore remains the balance amount to be paid.

Kaito Aye today tabled the details of sanctioned received under NEC and NLCPR from March 2008-March 2011.Replying to MLA S.I Jamir in unstarred question, the minister furnished the true copies of sanctioned order under NEC and NLCPR, the work progress of each road under NEC and NLCPR, work order of each from March 2008-March 2011 and the details of payment made due to contractors from March 2008-March 2011.
Minister Azo on GNM/ANM courses
Minister for health & family welfare Kuzholuzo Nienu today stated that the total intake of students for the Schools of Nursing in the state for GNM & ANM in a year varies from year to year depending on the instance capacity of the institutes. Replying this to MLA H. Chuba Chang, the minister furnished the number of selected candidates against the year and institute as follows; Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital Mokokchung: 2009 to 2010- 43 and 2010 to 2011 -40, Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima: 2009 to 2010- 43 and 2010 to 11- 35. Number of selected candidates for ANM Tuensang: 2009 to 2010-42, 2010 to 2011-45 and 2011 to 2012- 43.
523 arrested in connection with extortion cases
A total of 523 accused persons were arrested in connection with extortion cases in and around Dimapur and Kohima during 2008 to June 2011. Home minister Imkong L. Imchen told the assembly session today in written reply to MLA T. Sentichuba. The minister also furnished the details of the accused persons arrested during such period as follows; Kohima- 2008- 35, 2009- 26, 2010- 25, 2011- 10. Dimapur: 2008- 109, 2009- 119, 2010- 132 and 2011- 67. Total number of cases charge sheeted is as follows; Kohima: 2008- 21, 2009- 18, 2010- 20, 2011- 9, Dimapur: 2008- 108, 2009- 117, 2010- 120, 2011-49. Total number of persons sentenced: Kohima: 2008-16, 2009-15, 2010- 18, 2011-2. Dimapur: 2008-58, 2009- 55, 2010- 9. 2011- nil. The minister also lay on the table of the House the list of individuals sentenced as per law.
2526 persons arrested for bootlegging
Minister for excise M.C. Konyak today stated that 2526 persons have been arrested with regard to bootlegging during 2008 to June 2011. Replying this to MLA T. Sentichuba on the floor of the House, the minister said that all the cases have been compounded departmentally as per provisions of “Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition Act, 1989.” In supplementary question raised by Sentichuba about total amount collected from offenders, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said an amount of Rs. 25.05 lakhs was realized and credited to state’s exchequer. In another starred question, excise minister said that 174 persons were arrested from 2001 to July 2011 under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The minister said 152 persons have been charge sheeted in this connection.
