Govt taking steps to apprehend armed cadres

KOHIMA, JUNE 10 (MExN): The State government is finally taking concrete steps to help enforce the ceasefire ground rules with directives being issued through the district police heads. According to a notification issued by K. Martin Peinyu SP Kohima, all armed cadres of underground organizations in Kohima district have been told to vacate civilian populated areas like towns and villages within 10 days time with immediate effect failing which necessary steps would be taken to apprehend cadres found with arms and ammunitions. A similar order was issued by SP Mokokchung for that particular district.

It was also informed that all cadres strictly adhere to the ceasefire ground rules issued by concern authority and avoid movement of UG cadres in uniform and arms in the towns and villages. However, those cadres designated and issued identity cards by Chairman CFMG/ CFSB as security bodyguards to leaders of different underground groups shall be allowed to stay with their respective designated leaders.
