GPRN directs its workers not to interfere in village disputes

DIMAPUR, APRIL 12 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN Ministry of Kilo Affairs has directed all national workers of both civil and military setup to totally stay away from interfering in any disputes, issues and problems in internal village level, among clans, communities etc in and around Nagaland. Defying which, stern action will be initiated as per the YEZHABO of the GPRN/NSCN, informed a press note issued through MIP; GPRN/NSCN.

Pointing out that Nagas are living in inherited ancestral land since time immemorial upholding dearly our traditions and customs, the press note stated that history “reveals our culture and tradition which we independently practices” and that “the autonomous regions and villages are controlled by its kings and chiefs whose powers are limited by conventions and principles of unwritten laws of customs and traditions”.

“The Nagas in modern era, from village level councils, along with GB’s use to handle and resolve any problems, issues that crop up”, the press note stated while adding that the “village council authorities are the legitimate supreme authority in every village in Nagaland”.  Therefore, the GPRN/NSCN has left “the internal problems related to disputes of the village level solely to the respective village authorities (Council) since the GPRN will not stoop so low and hurt the sentiment of our people by involving ourselves in a village level issue”.
