GPRN/NSCN grand farewell for senior Kilonser Nihoto

DIMAPUR, APRIL 4 (MExN): One of the senior most national worker P Nihoto Chishi, Kilonser, former convener, National Political Advisory Council (NPAC), NSCN and founder of Nihoto Village under UT I was given a warm farewell by GPRN/NSCN at designated camp Khehoi on 2nd April 2011. This was stated in a press note issued by the MIP GPRN/NSCN.
Ato Kilonser N Kitovi Zhimomi, Commander-in-Chief, Naga Army, Gen. Khole and NPAC convener Azheto Chophy recollected the many positive contribution of P Nihoto Chishi and urged the members present to emulate the patriotism exhibited by the retiring leader. Council of Kilonsers, Tatars and GPRN/NSCN Head of Departments were also at hand to appreciate and applaud the contribution of the elderly leader who served the Nation in various capacities. He joined the national service in 1954 as a young man and continued serve the nation with determination and commitment.
In his farewell speech, P Nihoto Chishi declared that retirement was “just an acceptance of universal phenomena of ageing” and that “having crossed the age of eighty and wanting to spend the remaining years in the company of his beloved wife, children, grandchildren and village folks, he sought voluntary retirement from the National service”. He encouraged the members to continue the righteous struggle of the Nagas and assured his unconditional moral and prayer support. He also assured that he would continue to advice and encourage the Nagas to seek reconciliation in truth. Various farewell gifts were presented to the elderly leader by various GPRN/NSCN ministries and departments.
