Dimapur, December 28 (MExN): As per the approval of the National Tatar Hoho, the GPRN/NSCN has established and inaugurated a new region called “Kuki Region” on December 12, 2011, Kuki Region Chairman S. Hangsing informed today.
GPRN/NSCN Kilo Kilonser Hothrong Yimchungru who was the chief guest recalled the contribution of the Kuki tribe in the Naga freedom struggle. He reminded the gathering that when the Nagas submitted the Memorandum to the Simon Commission in 1929, Lenjan Kuki was one of the Signatories.
Others who spoke on the occasion include Kilonser C. Singson, Convener, Ceasefire Supervisory Board of the GPRN/NSCN and Dy. Kilonser Haolim Kuki. They stressed on the importance of strengthening the bond among the Nagas.
