Dimapur, October 25 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN (U) has issued a rejoinder stating that as a senior worker and an elderly person, former Kilonser Tokiho Aye was assigned to the position of Advisor to Collective Leadership (ACL) to help the government run smoothly. “However, he was so addicted to gambling that he barely had time for food, let alone assisting the government as required,” alleged the press release issued by the MIP of GPRN/NSCN (U).
The press release alleged that Aye was suspended twice, first in May 2024 but was pardoned two months later after he submitted an apology letter to the government. He was again suspended in September, 2024 and subsequently terminated from national service on October 17, 2024. “These actions infuriated former ACL, Tokiho Aye, and consequently he started misleading his gullible gambling partners. These people love gambling so much and they cannot do without it,” the MIP stated.
It went on to state, “thus, when they were told that it could not be allowed any more, they simply chose to follow their kingpin.”
“Infact, former Kilonser Kakiho Zhimo and former Dy Kilonser Akheto Swu are both Deacons in their respective village but they are also a part and parcel of former ACL Tokiho’s mega-gambling groups, but whether or not to take action against their own deacon we leave it to the wisdom of the respective village,” it stated.
It also claimed, “GPRN/NSCN (U) is well aware of the fact that Kitovi will take advantage of every chance he gets, to make baseless and unfounded allegations but it is understandable, because his anger has overtaken his common sense, because his path ahead is uncertain, because rumors of dissension within his party are growing louder every day and because the noose around him is getting tighter every hour.”
