GPRN/NSCN (Unification) mourns

Dimapur, January 29 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN (Unification) has conveyed its condolences on the demise of Lunthu Yimkhiung, Deputy Kilonser, who passed away on the evening of January 26. In a condolence message issued by its MIP, the group stated that the late Lunthu Yimkhiung’s journey in the Naga Nationalist Movement began in 2011. “From that defining moment onward, he remained unwavering in his resolve and steadfast in his allegiance to the cause,” it said.

The GPRN/NSCN (Unification) said that “with indomitable spirit, unrelenting perseverance, and profound devotion, he rendered invaluable service to the Naga National cause in various capacities until his final breath.” It added that throughout his tenure, he “exemplified sincerity, discipline, and unwavering loyalty, guided consistently by an acute sense of responsibility, moral conviction, and patriotic duty.”

Describing his death as a major loss, the statement said, “The untimely passing of late Lunthu Yimkhiung is an irreparable and immeasurable loss—not only to his bereaved family and relatives, and to the Yimkhiung community, but also to the entire Naga people.”

It further stated that his “lifelong dedication, selfless sacrifices, and unyielding commitment to the aspirations of the Naga nation shall remain indelibly etched in collective memory and shall continue to inspire present and future generations in the pursuit of nationhood and dignity.”
