GPRN/NSCN warns “non-Nagas” against ‘spoiling Naga society’

Destroys seized IMF liquor

DIMAPUR, JULY 16 (MExN): GPRN/NSCN on Monday destroyed 454 cases of IMFL seized in Dimapur last week from different places. In the presence of GBs and Sumi Totimi Hohos of Ato Area and Khehoyi village, state administrative officials from Nihokhu and a host of GPRN/NSCN officials including its UT-1 chairman Jukiye Awomi, the seized IMFL were spilled and put to flames at Khehoyi village.

Prior to the destruction, GPRN/NSCN informed that the IMFL were all seized from non-Naga businessmen who it said were doing liquor business in Nagaland thereby destroying the Naga society. It conveyed to the non-Nagas that if they wanted to earn livelihood in Nagaland then they should do so with honesty and integrity without harming and dividing the Naga society. “We will not allow you all (non-Nagas) to destroy Naga generation,” a GPRN/NSCN member said adding that it would be erroneous if such anti-social elements were not controlled.

The GPRN/NSCN warned non-Nagas against taking advantage of their friendship with Nagas. “Henceforth, if any non-Naga is found to be indulging in illicit business, the GPRN/NSCN will have to discipline them and they will bear the consequences,” the GPRN/NSCN warned.
