Dimapur, August 27 (MExN): For the first time in the history of Government Primary Schools in Peren district, the students of GPS Peren town performed a spectacular drill display during the celebration of Indian Independence Day at Peren town local ground on August 15 last.
In response to this rare performance by the School, the DIS Peren, Apeuna Iheilung paid a special visit to the School the following day to facilitate the students and the teachers and encouraged them to continue giving more efforts for the all round development of the students. She also presented snacks and sweets to the students, besides donating a sum of Rs. 2000 as a token of appreciation for the rare performance of the School during the last Independence Day celebration and to further encourage the students and the teachers to work even harder in days to come.
GPS Peren Town Asst. Teacher Zierangtei on behalf of the school has thanked the DIS Peren for her kindness and for the encouragement she extended to the School.
