Dimapur, October 1 (MExN): Group 4 Ethos was declared the winner of the Cultural & Literary Day 2026 organised by the Department of Social Work, St Joseph University (SJU), on September 30.

Held under the theme “Remembering our Stories, Reclaiming our Roots,” the programme brought together 83 students, three research scholars and six faculty members for a series of cultural, literary, artistic and traditional activities. The programme featured folk song and painting competitions, Mr & Miss Ethnic, folk drama and folk dance. Outdoor activities included war cry, bamboo walking, high jump, traditional fire making and tug of war.

During the inaugural session, Rev. Fr. Dr. L. Anish, PRO, St Joseph University, encouraged the students to preserve and practise cultural values while focusing on self-development in the age of social media.

The event concluded with the declaration of results by Dr Janet Gonmei, Student Advisor. A vote of thanks was delivered by Impe Albert M. Kheang, General Secretary, followed by a benediction by Michael N. Lotha, BSW V.
