
Kohima, January 28 (MExN): The 48th Annual Session Cum Inauguration of Ghokimi Students’ Union (GSU) was held on December 27 to 29 under the theme “Think global, Act local” with Rtd. Additional Secretary Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Ghunakha S Swu as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest urged the students to first seek the kingdom of God, and to set a vision in their carrier as future belongs to those who have vision. Swu, reminded the student that their first priority is to get Education, where hard labour is the basic requirement as there is nothing that can substitute their hard work. “If a student is a hard working and sincere in his studies he will achieve his goal”, said Swu, adding that in this competitive world one should be well equipped in every field in other to compete with others. The Chief Guest has donated cash towards the union and also contributed to the Ghokimi cultural club. Earlier he inaugurated the Union office and assured to donate a Computer set along with Printer towards the newly inaugurated Union Office. The programme was chaired by Jenny Wotsa and Samuel Shohe while Ikhuli Shohe W/Pastress G.B.C pronounced invocation. Welcome song was presented by Alito Wotsa, Finalist Nagas got talent, 2010, while Johan Wotsa V.C.C delivered welcome address.
