Chümoukedima, October 27 (MExN): The Gorkha Students’ Union (GSU), Chümoukedima District, celebrated its 3rd Foundation Day-cum-Installation Programme for the newly elected office bearers for the tenure 2025–2028 on October 26 at Chümoukedima Town.
The event marked a significant milestone in the union’s ongoing efforts to promote unity, education, and cultural growth among the Gorkha community in Chümoukedima District.
The newly elected office bearers for the 2025–2028 tenure are: President – Ajay Thapa (Singrijan), Vice President – Ajay Sharma (Singrijan), General Secretary – Vishal Rana (Chümoukedima Town), Press & Publicity Secretary – MerinaChetri (Chümoukedima Town), Cultural Secretary – KeziaRai (Tenyiphe-1), Education & Statistical Secretary – Neeta Subba (Tenyiphe-1), Finance Secretary – MandipKarki (Kirha), Treasurer – ArjunLimbu (Piphema), and Sports Secretary – Ramesh Gauli (Seithekema C).
The program was graced by TezuPradhan, Head GB of Singrijan and Khopanala Village, as well as John Thakuri, President of the All Nagaland Gorkha Students’ Union (ANGSU), and Gopal Lama, President of the Chümoukedima District Gorkha Union (CDGU), who delivered the exhortation and farewell message.
Several dignitaries and community leaders attended and addressed the gathering, extending their support to the newly installed team and commending the GSU for its continued contributions to the welfare and representation of Gorkha students in the district.
